Corporate Associate – M&A / Private Equity

Class Year: 2018–2021
Compensation: $310,000–$420,000 + discretionary performance bonus

A top-ranked corporate practice is seeking associates to join its M&A and Private Equity team in San Francisco. This is an excellent role for candidates who want significant deal responsibility, direct client exposure, and a genuinely entrepreneurial platform.

The Role

You will advise corporate clients and private equity sponsors on:

• Acquisitions and dispositions

• Minority investments

• Related strategic transactions

• Broader corporate advisory matters

Candidate Profile

• Class years 2018–2021

• Significant M&A transaction experience

• Strong command of corporate law and market terms

• Advanced drafting and deal execution capability

• Effective matter/deal management skills

• Commercially driven, proactive, and comfortable with autonomy

• Strong client-facing skills and business-development mindset

Compensation & Benefits

• Base salary: $310,000–$420,000

• Salary based on qualifications and operational considerations
